DIY Equestrian Christmas Gifts

Not sure exactly what to get your horsey friends and family? Make them something personal and special, something that you know they will really appreciate.

Trent Park Equestrian Centre have searched for some fun DIY projects for you to give to your equestrian loved ones.

Decorated Horseshoes

Horseshoes are always easy to find after the farrier has been to the yard. All you need to do is polish and clean the old horseshoes and buy anything you want to decorate them. I personally found lots of ribbons, bells, glitter and little faux flowers/ holly / cranberries are brilliant festive decorations. All you need is some strong adhesive (glue) or a glue gun works incredibly well.

Be imaginative and have lots of fun ! You can always draft a design on paper if you are not sure how you want your horseshoe to look.

You can either do a festive one or a beautiful ornamental one for the whole year round. Here are a few ideas.

If you make extra you can decorate them and hang over your horse’s stable door or even in your tack area or on your grooming kit.
